Dear valued friends and patients,

Our team at Mendillo Family Dentistry is committed to the safety of all of our patients, team members, families, and the community as a whole. Due to the elevated concern of the COVID-19 virus, its transmission, and the continuing unknowns surrounding this situation, our office has decided to suspend normal operations and limit our care to emergent treatments only. We feel this is the most prudent and cautious course of action, which has been further validated by the recent American Dental Association guidelines.

We are hereby notifying you that we are canceling all treatments previously scheduled through April 6th. Because there is much uncertainty at the present moment regarding the exact timing of how this will play out, we will continue to monitor local and national guidelines and plan to resume normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so. If you were scheduled during this time period, or if we extend our closure, you should have received or will be receiving a phone call regarding your appointment. We will be compiling a list of all patients with postponed treatments and call you as soon as we’re back in the office to reschedule you!

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our community, patients, and team members. We hope our decision will help to protect us all, while still serving patients with emergent needs. Dr. Hillary will be fielding dental emergencies on a case-by-case basis. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call the office at (203) 488-6314 and press 1 to be connected to Dr. Hillary directly.

This decision was extremely difficult to make, but our team came together to do what we truly feel is in the best interest of our entire community. We appreciate your understanding as we move forward – please know that we are here for you even if the office doors are closed. We will be monitoring phone calls/voice mail messages (203-488-6314), and direct text messages (203-242-0445). However, our access to our email system will be restricted. We will do our best to respond as soon as possible.

This health crisis will have profound effects on every single person, for a time yet unknown. Everyone around you is going through this for the first time, and no one knows what the right answers are. Be patient with each other. Be gentle with yourself. Breathe. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any concerns, dental or not. While we are practicing physical social distancing, we can still be a resource for emotional social connection. We are still here for you and we look forward to welcoming back our team and patients at a time to be determined. We are all in this together, and we wish the best for everyone out there fighting this pandemic! Stay well!

Dr. Hillary, Dr. Jim, and the entire Mendillo Family Dentistry team
