COVID-RELATED BULLETIN: Updated June 25, 2020

Welcome back to Mendillo Family Dentistry!

We are happy to have our loyal patients return for their continued dental care, and we value the trust you place in us. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some necessary changes to our office hours and protocols. These changes have been implemented with one paramount goal: prioritizing the health and safety of you and our team. Infection control has always been a top priority at Mendillo Family Dentistry. We continue to follow all guidelines set forth by the ADA, CDC, and OSHA. We continue to adhere to the strictest of infection control measures, including: proper PPE for all of our treatment providers, effective sterilization methods and monitoring of all of our instruments and equipment, and disinfection of all solid surfaces in treatment rooms. Aerosol management has become a hot topic since the COVID-19 outbreak, and you will be happy to know that we have always had HEPA filtration in place with our effective air circulation system; we have since upgraded to the highest level of HEPA filtration, as well as added a UV light sanitizer in our central air system.

In addition to our standard procedures, we have implemented some other changes with your health and safety in mind. We will be regularly disinfecting touch-points: handrails, doorknobs, light switches, pens, etc. All magazines and children’s toys have been removed from the waiting area and treatment rooms. Our pre-appointment wellness screening is in place to prevent possible COVID-positive patients from even entering our building. All team members and patients will have their temperatures and oxygen levels measured upon entry. We have reworked our schedule to allow for social distancing between patients, and have established a one-way flow of patient traffic.

We anticipate continued changes with our hours and operations, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Our current office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8am until 6pm, as well as Fridays from 7:30am until 2pm. We are working hard at getting everyone rescheduled from our 3-month closure and we appreciate your continued patience as we work through this. We have always required 48 hours notice for a scheduling change and continue to adhere to that, but now stress that we require 2 full BUSINESS DAYS. Due to the limitations in our schedule, we are no longer able to be lenient with the fee associated with appointments missed or cancelled without this adequate notice.

We welcome any questions and feedback.

We are happy to be back caring for your dental health!
